What We Believe

We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We are the Campus Ministry of the United Methodist Church in Louisville.

We believe that there is only one savior, and one way to God the Father: Jesus Christ, his only son, who existed before the beginning of time. We believe that he came to earth, born of a virgin and fully human, to bring humanity back to God and to give the authority to be children of God to anyone who believes in him. The Scripture teaches us that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross cleanses all our trespasses, and  gives us a new nature (a nature that allows us to do what is pleasing to God). In other words, Christianity is not about becoming a better person, but about asking Jesus to make us a brand-new creation.

We believe that the Bible is God’s revelation. The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach us how to have a deep relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and to live lives that honor God. In a few words, the Bible is our authority to understand God, his plan for humanity, and how to jump on board with his plans for us.
