God is one being displayed in three – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus was the Son of God, meaning that he was fully man and fully God.
God created every person so that they would carry on them his image. Everyone was created out of love and for a great purpose (Psalm 139:1-18).
Sin causes us to die spiritually and be enemies of God. Sin makes us slaves to self and incapable to live lives that honor God (Ephesians 2:1-3). Sin will separate us eternally from God’s presence unless we are cleansed by the perfect sacrifice: Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:10).
Jesus died and rose again. In doing so he received punishment for our sin. When we put our trust in Jesus, God sees his sinless life in place of ours, satisfying God’s requirement for justice.
Salvation only exists through trust in Christ. This excludes reliance upon sacraments or any other work. We have access to salvation ONLY because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
We are saved by the grace of God alone. It is impossible for us to earn salvation. We are saved ONLY because of the free and unmerited favor that God gave to us.
Scripture is the ultimate authoritative revelation of God. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” -2 Timothy 3:16
